RESERVATION & MINORITY CELL (SC/ST CELL)

INTRODUCTION

The Reservation & Minority Cell at the Institute of Management is constituted in accordance with the guidelines of AICTE, UGC, and SPPU to ensure the effective implementation of statutory reservation policies for SC, ST, OBC, and other eligible categories like Orphan, PWD, including minority communities. The Cell works to safeguard the rights of students belonging to these groups by ensuring equitable access to admission, scholarships, support services, and academic opportunities. It functions as a facilitative and grievance-redressal body to monitor compliance with constitutional provisions and regulatory directives on social justice and inclusion.

Objectives

  1. Ensure effective implementation of reservation policies for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and
    minority communities as per AICTE/UGC/SPPU norms.

  2. Facilitate admission, counseling, scholarship processes, and other support services for
    students from reserved and minority categories.

  3. Monitor compliance with constitutional mandates, government resolutions, and
    regulatory guidelines related to reservation and minority welfare.

  4. Provide a platform for addressing grievances or issues related to discrimination,
    denial of benefits, or policy implementation.

  5. Conduct orientation programs, awareness sessions, and capacity-building initiatives to
    support academic and professional development of beneficiaries.

  6. Maintain records, submit periodic compliance reports, and ensure transparency in all
    processes related to reservation and minority support.

Constitution of Reservation & Minority Cell (SC/ST Cell)

Functioning under the Constitution of Reservation & Minority Cell (SC/ST Cell) at the Institute of Management, the Squad maintains vigilance, conducts surprise checks, and responds immediately to reported or suspected incidents, acting as the first responder to ensure prevention within campus and hostel areas.
