AFFILIATION
The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two-year postgraduate program offered by the Institute, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. It is also recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
This program is designed to equip students with advanced software development skills, strong analytical thinking, and effective problem-solving capabilities. Program Outcomes (Pos)
PO1 - Computing Knowledge
Apply knowledge of computing fundamentals, computing specialization, mathematics, and domain knowledge appropriate for the computing specialization to the abstraction and conceptualization of computing models from defined problems
and requirements.
PO2 - Problem Analysis
Identify, formulate, research literature, and solve complex Computing problems reaching substantiated conclusions using fundamental principles of Mathematics, Computing sciences, and relevant domain disciplines.
PO3 - Design & Development
Design and evaluate solutions for complex computing problems, and design and evaluate systems, components, or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 - Research & Development
Use research-based knowledge and research methods including
design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 - Prompt Tool Usage
Create, select, adapt and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing tools to complex computing
activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 - Ethical Practices
Understand and commit to professional ethics and cyber regulations, responsibilities, and norms of professional computing practice.

Recognize the need, and have the ability, to engage in independent learning for continual development as a Computing professional.

Budget Buzz
Budget Buzz (Understanding Budget 2026 through young minds)
The session on “Understanding Budget 2026” for FYMCA students was conducted to help students gain better insight into the country’s financial system and government policies. The Union Budget is an important document that outlines the government’s income and spending for the year. The activity was conducted as a group presentation session. Students were divided into groups, and each group presented specific areas of the India Budget 2026.

An international guest session titled “Shaping the Future of Tech Talent” was conducted on 24th July 2025 by Mr. Sunil Khaire to guide MCA students towards the evolving demands of the global IT industry. He has shared valuable insights on emerging technologies, industry expectations, and the skills required to succeed in a competitive global environment. The session encouraged students to go beyond theoretical learning, focus on practical knowledge, and continuously upgrade their skills. It inspired them to become adaptable, innovative, and future-ready tech professionals.

An International Guest Session
Software Development and Industry Practices at Global Level
An International Guest Session on “Software Development & Industry Practices at Global Level” was conducted on 14th August 2025 at MET’s Institute of Management. Renowned speakers including Mick Badran, Dave Wilson, Riley Nettleton, and Madhav Mojad shared insights on global IT trends, modern development practices, and real-world industry challenges.
The session provided students with valuable exposure to international work standards and emerging technologies. It inspired participants to enhance their technical expertise and prepare for successful global careers in the IT industry.
