ABOUT IOM LIBRARY

The IMET’s   Institute of Management Nashik , Main Library is a fully Automated resource centre with latest and services. The Library is located on the Ground  floor with a reference Section separately. There is a collection of around 18153 books and 540  CDs and DVDs. The Library has pleasant environment and a well lit hall of capacity to accommodate around 100 students at a time. The Library has a rich collection of around 42 journals and periodicals and project reports of previous years PHD StusentsThiesesare made available for reference and study.

Library Facilities/ Services:

  • To acquire, organize and update the library collection to support teaching learning process

  • To encourage students to read beyond the requirement of the curriculum 

  • To work with Faculty in integrating information, skill & knowledge with the use of technology in accessing information needed to strengthen the research.  

  • To provide instruction and assistance in the effective use of learning resource and services.

The Library envisions that it will fulfill its unique role as a major contributor to the academic, cultural, and social development of the IOM. To give maximum information services in minimum time by maximum possible ways.

IOM Library Provide Services to USERs

  1. Library Orientation (User Orientations Program's): Library orientation is given to the new students and newly recruited staff of the college to enable them to use the library collection extensively and avail the facility of the library

  2. E-resources Facility: Library is proud to provide online access facility to the students and faculty members to the internationally reputed commercial databases like( EBSCO, J Gate , DELNET, NPTL)

  3. The Library has "Internet Resource Centre" where one can get the list of good number of URLs in the form of booklets, which supplements the teaching and learning process. Library also displays the list of academic related websites for the week as ‘Websites of the Week’. Internet Surfing and Downloading Facility (E-Journals and E- Books)

  4. Library OPAC: The Library OPAC: Online Public Access Catalogue, which is a key to our entire collection of books, can also be accessed through library intranet. Library has one terminal with OPAC facilities for searching and locating books  meant for all users. https://erp.metbhujbalknowledgecity.ac.in. Every Staff and Student can search books availability on this link.

  5. Library Software:   IOM  library has used fully automated (E.R.P) Library Integrated Software developed Version 1.0.0637. my ERP Students

  7. Newspaper Clipping Services:  Maintained Newspaper clipping file for up-to-date record of information regarding new trend in Education.

  8. Information Display and notification:  Library information such as New Arrivals, Library Rules, Journal List, Notices, News Paper Clipping, FAQ, etc. Is displayed on Library Notice Board from time to time.

  9. Book Bank Schemes: IOM  Library will be providing Institutional Book Bank Scheme (MET-BKC-IOE Book Bank Scheme) to the regular students of Institute and Social Welfare Book Bank Scheme both Schemes is available to under-privileged sections of the society and financially very poor students.

  10. All Previous Question Papers Set & all Branches Syllabus-Online / Hard copy Library has started uploading question papers for all the courses/programs and for reading and downloading question papers on our website and students can use http://118.185.90.43/moodle/login/index.php.

  11. Information Display and notification:  Library information such as New Arrivals, Library Rules, Journal List, Notices, News Paper Clipping, FAQ, etc. Is displayed on Library Notice Board from time to time.

  12. NPTEL-IIT Video Lecture Series: NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses various. NPTEL material. It will be installed on the Local Area Network of the educational institution. http://nptel.ac.in/course.php

Library Rules & Regulations

  2. Library will remain open for readers on all working days except Sundays, national and public holidays.

  3. Library timing is 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

  4. It is desirable that every person entering the library signs the register as a token of attendance.

  5. Students are required to keep their bags, personal reading material, and other belongings in the designated racks.

  6. The library staff is not responsible for the loss or damage of students' belongings.

  7. Please maintain silence in the library.

  8. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited. Strict action will be taken against anyone found talking on the phone.

  9. Smoking, eating, and chewing gum are strictly prohibited.

  10. Students will not be allowed to use the library during lecture hours.

  11. Students are requested to keep books, magazines, or any other material in their respective places after use.

  12. No library material may be taken out without the permission of the librarian.

  13. Books, periodicals, or other materials can be issued only upon showing a valid ID card.

  14. Books once issued will not be accepted for return on the same day.

  15. No library material can be issued on someone else’s ID card.

  16. Students can borrow a maximum of 3 books at a time.

  17. Please maintain a queue for issuing and returning books.

  18. Books can be retained for a maximum period of 15 days.

  19. Issue and return of books is allowed only once per day.

  20. A book can be renewed once, on or before the due date, for an additional period of 10 days.

Fines & Penalties

  1. A late fine of ₹2 per book per day will be charged.

  2. No books will be issued if the fine exceeds ₹50.

  3. Issuing privileges will be restored only after dues are cleared and the receipt is shown to the librarian.

General Guidelines

  1. Returned books will not be reissued to anyone for a period of 3 hours.

  2. Students must check the condition of the book before issuing and report any damage or missing pages to the librarian. Otherwise, they will be held responsible.

  3. If a book is damaged, the cost of the book will be recovered from the borrower.

  4. If a book is lost, the borrower must replace it with a new copy and pay any applicable late fine.

  5. Any library material taken for photocopying must be returned within 1 hour. Failure to do so will result in necessary action.

  6. The librarian reserves the right to recall any book from any member at any time.

  7. Reference books, periodicals, standards, and other materials of a referral nature are not issued.

  8. Readers are liable for penalties or fines in case of misbehavior or damage to books or library property.
